De Quervain's tenosynovitis injection

There are several names for this condition including blackberry thumb, gamer's thumb, washwoman's sprain, radial styloid tenosynovitis, mother's wrist or mummy thumb. The condition is characterised by inflammation of the two tendons which control the movement of the thumb, usually by overuse. Symptoms manifest in pain, tenderness, swelling and difficulty moving the thumb.

At the Wells clinic, we use steroid injections which provide effective relief.
