About
Mission
At The Wells Clinic, we know your time is precious and that caring for your health is very important. Our mission is to give you more of our time to provide you with personalised service. We offer a broader range of consultation times and employ evidence-based, cutting edge investigations and treatments so that we can achieve optimal results.
Our aim is never to become too large or too impersonal as we value continuity of care for our patients and take a patient-centred approach. We aim to take things back to the way GP care ‘used to be’ in striving to preserve healthy doctor-patient relationships with trust and honesty at the heart of each one. Our practitioners want to get to know and understand more about you and your family’s needs so we can work with you in achieving better health.
Face to face consulting:
Despite the advances in technology and the age of remote consulting, we are strong believers in consulting our patients face to face when it is convenient for our clients and safe to do so. We believe this enables us to fully understand you as a person and get to the root of your health problems. Albeit, we do offer video and telephone consultations for the convenience of our clients.

Relaxed environment
Our offices are situated in a beautiful stately home building set within 25 acres of countryside, gardens and woodland with sweeping views of the South Downs. This tranquil setting is away from the hustle and bustle of suburban life. We are in a ground floor suite with free parking outside.
Emergencies
It is important to note that any registration with an NHS GP should be kept, as when the clinic is closed or when there is no clinic running, emergency appointments will not be available. If you are in need of urgent medical care at these times, then you will need to contact your NHS GP surgery, dial '111' for the out of hours GP service, attend A&E or dial '999' as appropriate.
Safeguarding Children
Please note that we are situated in a multi-use building so please be aware of this when bringing children to our facility. There may be a wait for your appointment within our waiting room.
Parental Identification:
We ask that it is the parent/legal guardian of the child that brings them to the appointment. Where this is not possible, permission from the legal guardian will need to be established before proceeding with any consultation or treatment is provided. A passport or driving licence for the parent or guardian is required to be shown.
Dr Sarah Wells
The Wells Clinic was set up by Dr Sarah Wells, a GMC registered General Practitioner who has worked within the NHS since 2007. Her aim is to provide an alternative means of accessing GP care in response to the limitations of the National Health Service. Dr Wells envisages a GP service in a relaxed, friendly environment, where more time can be spent listening to patient's concerns and less time waiting to see the same GP twice or for appropriate investigations and referrals to be made and acted upon. This enables her to get to the root of any problem efficiently and effectively.
