How should I prepare for my virtual GP consultation?
To prepare for your Telephone or Video GP consultation
  • Gather a list of your current medications and relevant medical history.
  • Be ready to discuss any health concerns, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and medical history.
  • Ensure you have a photo ID available for your first appointment.
Do I need to be referred by my NHS GP to use your services?

No, you can book a consultation directly with us.

Do I need to register with Wells to use your service?

There is no registration as such, just book an Extended GP Consultation and bring photo ID with you to your first appointment.

How long will my consultation last?

Appointments are typically 20 minutes long, but this can vary depending on the nature of the consultation. For new patients wanting to discuss their medical history in detail, have extensive past medical problems or complex health concerns, we recommend a 40-minute appointment.

Will my NHS GP be informed of my treatment?

We will update your NHS GP on your progress if required.

Can I see a GP on the same day?

Same-day appointments are available, subject to availability. The best way to secure an appointment is to book via our website.

Can I receive same-day referrals during a Private GP consultation?

We understand the importance of timely referrals and strive to provide same-day referrals whenever possible.

Are virtual GP consultations suitable for children and babies?

Our virtual GP consultations are available for patients of all ages, including children. We provide personalised care and attention to meet their healthcare needs.
