Wellwoman - General Health Check

Overview

Tailored to the person's needs in terms of age and past medical problems.

45 minutes spent with the doctor for your initial appointment- you will need to fast for 12 hours prior if you wish your blood test to be carried out at your initial appointment.

What does it inculde?

Full history is taken of any medical complaints past and present.
Full top to toe examination including listening to your heart and lungs, examining the abdomen, nervous system and breast examination for any breast lumps(optional).
Body mass index(BMI) measurement
Blood pressure measurement, Heart rate, Respiratory rate, Oxygen saturation.
Includes a full range of blood tests including a full blood count, cholesterol, blood sugar, kidney function, liver function, thyroid function, iron, B12, vitamin D, gout test, calcium. Extra tests may be done at an additional cost.
Electrocardiogram (ECG) if indicated. (Incurs extra charge of £155)
A Cervical HPV/Smear test if indicated. (Incurs extra charge)
Any specialist referrals or scan requests needed.
You will then receive a digital or hard copy of your results with text to explain anything abnormal. There is an option of a follow up appointment (£45 only) to discuss things face to face if you would prefer.
